BE THE FOX

Bron - Fearless Crypto Security Ads

The seed phrase is a crypto natives weakness. Bron hired Be The Fox to put it in the past.

The brief

Bron came to Be The Fox with a clear challenge: crypto adoption is stalling in the US, and a major reason is fear. Not fear of the market, but fear of the infrastructure. Specifically, the seed phrase. A 12-word string handwritten on paper, stored in a drawer, one deep clean away from losing everything. For a category trying to position itself as the future of finance, the technology's security method was a vital part of winning trust.

The brief: make Bron's "Crypto Without Fear" proposition land with crypto natives. Make the seed phrase feel as absurd as it actually is, and position Bron as the brand that's already moved on

The Creative Strategy

Rather than producing a single film, we developed two distinct creative concepts to be shot across two production days, delivering a content suite built for different platforms, audiences and contexts.

The insight driving both was simple but sharp: in a world of AI assistants, smart watches and contactless everything, people are still writing their crypto security on paper. The absurdity of the seed phrase doesn't need explaining. It needs dramatising.

Concept 1: The Museum

A 90-second film in which a museum guide leads a group of well-informed school children through an exhibit dedicated entirely to the downfall of the seed phrase. Three elaborate dioramas, each depicting a different reason why the seed phrase is no good. The seed phrase as a historical artefact.

Shot at Charlton House in southeast London, the museum film takes a very British sensibility and applies it to a very crypto problem. Dry, knowing, a little surreal. The dioramas were practical builds, designed to feel like a cross between a natural history installation and a contemporary art piece. The aesthetic: near-future, but barely. Close enough to feel real.

Deliverables across both shoots: four films in 16x9, 9x16 and 1x1 formats, plus photography stills.

A full suite built for paid social, organic, and out-of-home.

Concept 2: Bron Buddies

A series of three 30-second spots built around two flatmates, Creative Director, Trak Ellis-Hill, described as Joey and Chandler for the crypto era. Smart Guy and Luddite. One keeps up with the times, the other does not. In each script, a mundane everyday moment reveals that Luddite is still doing something in the most outdated way possible. The punchline is always the same: "You still use a seed phrase, don't you?"

Script 1: Luddite sends a text on a typewriter. Script 2: He prints a meme on a dot matrix printer to share it. Script 3: He unfolds a road atlas across the kitchen counter to find a bar.

Each ends with the same VO: "You wouldn't use outdated tech for this. So why use outdated tech to secure your digital assets? Bron. Crypto Without Fear."

The tone is warm, grounded and genuinely funny. Not knowing and naff, but sitcom-sharp. Ogun's direction specified large-format shooting, fluid camera work that rewards the performances, and snappy editing where the comedy lives in the timing and the reaction shots as much as the dialogue.

The shoot took place at a loft location in East London, with cast Oliver Silver (Smart Guy) and Andreas Robichaux (Luddite) bringing the characters to life. The art direction leaned into the NYC bachelor pad reality: pizza boxes, stacked newspapers, an actual typewriter, dot matrix printer, folded road atlas. Props chosen for maximum contrast with the world Bron operates in.

Why It Works

The campaign doesn't try to explain crypto. It doesn't talk to enthusiasts or try to convert sceptics with data. It meets the audience where they already are, with a behavioural observation everyone recognises, and uses comedy to make the product benefit feel inevitable rather than instructional.

The seed phrase is over. Bron is what comes next.
