Giving dog owners peace of mind. One muddy pawprint at a time.

The brief

When PetLink, a U.S. pet tracking brand, came to us with a brief to build awareness and promote their GPS collar to American dog owners, we knew exactly where to start: with the dogs.

The result was Let Dogs Be Dogs. A joyful, cinematic love letter to off-lead freedom. Told through the lens of a playful surveillance op, the hero film captures a dog's pure exhilaration as they bolt across open fields, dive through undergrowth, and splash through muddy puddles while their human, calmly watching live updates via the PetLink app, stays one step behind.

The Idea

We wanted to show the unfiltered joy of letting your dog run free without the stress of losing them.

Cutting between GoPro-style POV, drone flyovers, and cinematic wides, the spot follows our furry lead as they explore the great outdoors. A deadpan surveillance-style VO adds comic urgency ("Target acquired, she’s on the move"), while GFX overlays show real-time tracking data, step counts, and app alerts.

The message? Dogs can roam far and wide, but with PetLink’s GPS collar, they’re never truly lost.

The Execution

Shot in the British countryside on the shortest days of winter, the biggest challenge was making it feel like sunny America. With a nimble crew, a whole lot of mud, and a touch of VFX magic (hello, mountain range), we pulled off a U.S.-looking landscape that still felt authentic and grounded.

Working with a small crew and an excitable four-legged lead, we kept things agile and playful. The result is a high-end, high-energy film delivered on a modest budget—complete with bespoke GFX, original VFX enhancements, and multiple formats to cover VOD, social, and web placements.

The Impact

A high-calibre TVC feel on a lean budget, with a content suite built to scale. This campaign proves that trust, tech, and tail wags can co-exist beautifully and that with the right creative, even a muddy British field can feel like the wide-open American wilderness
